General CEREC Crown Procedure
The process of getting a CEREC same-day crown begins with a digital scan of the tooth that needs restoration. Our dentist will capture detailed images to create a precise digital model.
Next, we’ll clean the affected area by removing any decay and shaping the tooth to prepare it for the crown. This step ensures a secure fit and long-term stability. Once the tooth is ready, the digital model is sent to our in-office milling machine.
In just 15 to 20 minutes, the machine carves your crown from a solid block of durable ceramic. After milling is complete, our dentist will polish the crown to match the sheen of your natural teeth. Finally, we’ll place the crown in your mouth, check the fit and bite, and make any minor adjustments if needed before permanently bonding it in place.
